Leo Carrillo, a sectioned off, private beach located in Malibu, California. This getaway is a paradise for not only thrill seeking surfers, but also for guests looking to catch some sun and relax. Although peaceful, it’s quite a rocky beach so be prepared to bring close toed shoes in case you decide to explore the many caves! To get down to the actual beach there is a 10 minute hike which is suitable for small children. Break away from busy Santa Monica and explore this California gem!

Malibu Creek State Park

If you’re looking for a more pristine campground, consider visiting Malibu Creek State Park! Hidden in the hills of Calabasas, it’s just a short drive through the canyon until you’ve reached this Southern California oasis. Noted as one of the best places to go cliff jumping because of its deep swimming hole, you will surely find this campground unique and full of surprises! Along with the swimming hole, Malibu Creek offers wonderful hiking trails and a close proximity to the beach. (Also, if you’re a M.A.S.H fan, they’ve kept the film set and some of their props up for visitors to check out as well!) Keep in mind, you don’t have to camp here to enjoy all the amenities! Day parking is only $12.00 and you’re able to enjoy all the same activities without setting up camp. Parking along Mulholland Dr. is always free, so always keep an eye out for an available spot.

Malibu Beach RV Park

The Beach RV Park of your dreams! Not only is Malibu Beach RV Park highly popular amongst locals, it’s a wonderful RV Park for visiting families as well. This area is located right along the Malibu coast, so you’re guaranteed a clean and scenic ocean view. The RV park comes equipped with showers and a laundry room if needed. To plan accordingly, keep in mind the busiest months are June to August, however, California stays fairly warm up until November. If you’re looking for a quaint weekend getaway, this may be a great choice! Bonita Ranch Campground is a treasure, quietly and peacefully thriving in the San Bernardino forest. The Californian RV Resort

The Californian RV Resort is located in sunny Acton, California. Situated on a hillside above the CA-14, it is not only very scenic, but it’s very serene. Since it is situated on a hill, it’s not suggested for visitors with physical limitations, particularly because there are lots narrow stairs to climb. However, this is the best RV resort Antelope Valley has to offer. Expect a very secure park, offering a swimming pool, spa and free WIFI. This is a wonderful overnight option for those driving down from NorCal.
