Get-Aways Within 4-Hour Drive of LA
Lake Arrowhead
This is a great place to go in the winter and to get away from all the hustle and bustle. A quite sanctuary this is the perfect town for those who love to connect with nature and enjoy the small town feel. Lake Arrowhead has a lovely village where you can go to dine, feed the ducks and do some light shopping.
Big Bear
In our opinion Big Bear is one of the best places around Los Angeles. This is the town that offers activities all year round. In the summer time there is hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming and some of the best camping spots around. During the winter there is a plethora of winter adventures available, tube sledding, skiing/snowboarding, ice skating and more. This is the place where LA folks go to when they want to experience all seasons.
Las Vegas
Las Vegas is the one place where someone can go and never, ever get bored. There is so much to do and to see and to experience. Shows for every age, concerts, dance venues, spas, extravagant pools, sight seeing and so much more. Even if you just opt in to walk around the hotels to take in the gorgeous architecture and design of each place it could easily take you days. If you've never been to Vegas, you HAVE TO GO!
Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara is filled with rich history and entertainment opportunities. In our experience this is the best place to go wine tasting that is relatively close to Los Angeles. There are also an endless array of dining and shopping opportunities, beach lounging, bike riding trails, arts and culture and recretaional activities.
Pismo Beach
Pismo beach is beautiful in it's own right, but the reason it's on our list of must see destinations is due to the thousands of Monarch Butterflies that visit it annually. The Monarch Butterfly season is late October through early February and it's a sight you have to see at least once in your life.
